Tampa Bay Exotic Pets was founded in 2024 by Mina Rae & Sarah Jean.
Many years prior, after hearing about a serious shortage of live feeder mice for reptiles in the Tampa Bay area, Mina started off by entering the feeder market. After starting several successful mice colonies, she was able to provide fresh meals for many reptile owners & stores, and soon expanded to breeding rats, as well. It was at this time that a bigger idea bloomed: to refine her mice & rat colonies to produce specific appearance traits and enter the Fancy Mice & Rat Pet market. While operating under the name Rae's Rodents, she accomplished this goal before setting out to expand once again. This brings us to current day, where Tampa Bay Exotic Pets has begun to blossom into the area's up and coming Exotic Pet source.
